Wheelchair Transportation

Yellow Cab has special taxis for those with disabilities whose mobility is dependent upon a wheelchair.

This program is now administrated through: CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions, 4755 Kingsway Drive, Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46205. Contact Tiffany Carson, Transportation Director at 317.803.6153 or by email at tcarson@cicoa.org

Main Office: (317) 254-5465
Main Office: (800) 489-9550
Fax: (317) 254-5494
Office Hours: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Your taxi driver will provide “through the door” service, which means they will assist you from inside the door of your dwelling and into the taxi, and assist you with exiting the taxi and getting inside the door at your appointment location.

After filing out a CICOA Transportation Application and receiving your vouchers, you may contact Yellow Cab directly to schedule your taxi.

How it works:  Seniors may receive up to eight wheelchair vouchers for a contribution of $6.00 per voucher, per month, per person, based on availability. Vouchers are distributed on a first-come, first serve basis.  Each voucher is good for one, one-way trip and can be used to go anywhere within Marion County. To return home a second voucher would be required. Vouchers can be used for any purpose; they are not limited to medical appointments.
